DSQ's Human Resources System (SAPICS) is a fully integrated on-line application that helps today's management to maintain that crucial mix of people who provide necessary services to an organisation.

SAPICS has been developed on the IBM's most popular AS/400 platform using the powerful case tool SYNON/2E. Function Security at various levels is defined in the ascending order based on the critical nature of the function "Password Security". The user can associate password for critical functions and Restricted I/O access to critical data based on the hierarchy of the user.

 

System Highlights

The product SAPICS/2 (Salary And Personnel Information Control System) consists of two interrelated systems namely Personnel Information System and Payroll Information System. The Payroll System draws its main input from the Personnel Information System and the Attendance Recording System. It collects and maintains all details about salary, allowances, deductions and reimbursements of employees.

The Payroll System of SAPICS/2 supports the maintenance and processing of information for multiple trade unions and agreements. The data driven system minimises file maintenance for Business policy changes. The Payroll System is parameterised to cover various Earning and Deduction heads. The modular design of the system provides the maintenance and processing of user defined Earning and Deduction heads without affecting the existing Business objects.

Payroll Information system comprises of main modules like Employee Basic Payroll Information, Loans and Advances, Payroll Processing, Interface with Financial Accounting package (FINPAC), Income-tax Computation, Annual Processing, Generation of various MIS reports and queries etc.

ThePersonnel Information System of SAPICS/2 facilitates the user to capture the personal details of an employee like Date of Birth, Address etc. It also facilitates the user to capture details like Employee Career Information (pertaining to educational Qualification, promotions, transfers, awards, reprehension and cessation), Nominations, PF, Gratuity, Superannuation, Performance Appraisal, Training Information and Leave Management.

Project Model

The Project technical leader and an Analyst execute the Requirement Analysis phase on sign off of the contract for the customisation required by the Clients. On inferences of the Requirement analysis, an impact analysis is done for the modifications or the enhancements required. The next phase of the model is the generation, review and closure of the fitment report, a report that comprises the various updates and enhancements, their impact and the corresponding time estimate.

On approval of the fitment report by the client, the customisation phase of the project is executed. This phase comprises the development and maintenance phase of any project life cycle. On acceptance by the client, the application is implemented. The Post implementation phase spans over the warranty time interval and then the AMC duration as specified in the Annual Maintenance Contract. The Quality management group periodically audits every phase of the project. Apart from the Requirement analysis and Implementation, the remaining phases are executed offshore.
